An always highly anticipated show every season is J.W.Anderson. For SS15 it was all about the coastline/nautical vibe for J.W.Anderson with very unusual dramatic silhouettes in glorious fabrics and hues.
For the collection, Anderson paid homage to french filmmaker Jacques Tati and his famous comedic work about confusion. One thing i love about Anderson is that through his collections, through the seasons you can see how much fun he has with silhouettes etc, being different and sometimes twisted. This inspiration from Tati meant Anderson had more reason to play with his sense of humor and you can definitely see this with the off balance french riviera aura.
Typical of J.W.Anderson; recognized detail in unexpected ways, with surreal silhouettes. Here there is a playful use of leather with a blue brallette and a black body with slouchy gloves and a nautical striped backwards skirt with the gold buttons and pockets at the front. The use of leather is not surprising as Anderson is about to debut a forthcoming collection with luxury leather fashion house LEOWE. photography: Lea Colombo |
