LFW: J.W.Anderson SS15

NYFW is over and LFW is here. Just like NYFW I'm viewing the collections from my bed watching live streams and refreshing my favorite bloggers instagrams.

An always highly anticipated show every season is J.W.Anderson. For SS15 it was all about the coastline/nautical vibe for J.W.Anderson with very unusual dramatic silhouettes in glorious fabrics and hues.
For the collection, Anderson paid homage to french filmmaker Jacques Tati and his famous comedic work about confusion. One thing i love about Anderson is that through his collections, through the seasons you can see how much fun he has with silhouettes etc, being different and sometimes twisted. This inspiration from Tati meant Anderson had more reason to play with his sense of humor and you can definitely see this with the off balance french riviera aura.

Typical of J.W.Anderson; recognized detail in unexpected ways, with surreal silhouettes. Here there is a playful use of leather with a blue brallette and a black body with slouchy gloves and a nautical striped backwards skirt with the gold buttons and pockets at the front. The use of leather is not surprising as Anderson is about to debut a forthcoming collection with luxury leather fashion house LEOWE.

A closer up shot from J.W.Anderson's twitter were you can notice the signature puzzle piece necklace choker from the show.

One of my favorite looks from the SS15 collection. What looks like a reconstructed wool jumper made into a stunning dress, as you can see from the arm/neck hole on the side of the thigh. Paired again with slouchy black leather gloves, the puzzle piece necklace and the oversized riviera hat. Such a killer and effortless look.

J.W. Anderson SS15 Show
A stunning navy white and green ensemble. The navy jumper paired over a round neck white shirt with a green ruched cami top over the top for the perfect layered look. very mid 90's. Paired with flared navy pants, don't forget flares are back.

YES, more beautiful leather. Malaika Firth rocks this navy and orange ensemble with low dropped pockets and brass buttons. The top features some soft ruched detail with two large navy buttons. Such a memorable look.

Another standout look. A black ensemble with a rich brown singular leather lapel bound by rope draping down the body. Again with some french inspired flares and a big leather floppy hat.

J.W toying with the inspired humor from Jacques Tati. Repeated tiered kipper ties. For that woman who would like to have fun with a sophisticated look. I could totally imagine susie bubble in this.

Anderson closed the collection continuing with the generous use of leather. This ruched co-ord with a slouchy high neck.

A look at the accessories.

The shoes used in the collection. immense silhouette and killer voluminous 'rock heel' as they called it.

What everyone will remember the most from Andersons ss15 collection is the over-sized riviera black leather sun hats. They framed the models faces and shadowed the shoulders. That french yacht club vibe at its finest.

Jordan, REGAL RAGS!
